A Psychological Course which makes you think 'outside the box'

Psychological Driving

Driver Awareness helps you to think differently behind the wheel

Driver Awareness Ltd accepts things are bad on the road; in fact, driving standards are so absolutely appalling, that's why we exist!

The current driving systems and organisations are to blame - coupled with a lack of proper law and order enforcement.

Here at Driver Awareness, we teach a way of driving that is based on the techniques taught to VIP Protection Officers. As you will know from your own journeys, many people seem to be driving on autopilot and many people arrive at their destination not remembering how they actually got there. They must have changed gear and steered the vehicle and done all the things necessary to make their vehicle move but they haven't been AWARE of it and that is the key.

It’s simply a way of HOW to do – and why; and NOT what to do whilst driving’

'Aware Drivers' know exactly what is happening around them; they think ahead, they plan for what could happen - the 'What If?' factor.

The Government has stated that all drivers should eventually undergo either psychological or psychometric testing before being allowed to drive. We all know that it's never going to happen and, in any case, this is NOT addressing the problem.

We have to change people's attitudes when they get behind a wheel and that's what this course and our book 'Mind How You Go' actually do.

As an 'Aware Driver' you must not trust anybody; you must view all other vehicles as potentially fatal missiles and, to that end, you must keep yourself well away from these dangers. We show you how.

This doesn't mean that you have to crawl around and be timid. You need to be proactive and PLAN ahead, decide on the manoeuvres that unaware drivers on autopilot may make and take steps to avoid them. There are no more important VIP's than you and your passengers so you must drive defensively to protect them and this is what we teach.

The Government wants to change drivers' attitudes but they go about it by threatening everyone with fines, by narrowing roads, by speed bumps, by painting lots of confusing lines everywhere that give drivers so many things other than the road to look at. You have only to view the statistics for deaths on our roads to see, very quickly, that these measures DO NOT WORK. They are ill-thought out and often knee jerk reactions to public complaints after yet more fatal tragedies and incidents of road rage. There has to be an alternative and we at 'Driver Awareness' are it.

Look at the book on www.mindhowyougo.co.uk and look carefully at the rest of our website, especially the Testimonials. You will see that we are allowed to use the Manchester United and Bolton Wanderers' logos. This is because they are so impressed by what we do for them. They use psychology in their football training and they realise that we also use it in our training of their teams and staff and for everyone else who goes on our courses. Physical skills can be taught and, once taught, look after themselves but the mind also needs training in how to think and plan. This is what we do in a fun and interesting way. The mind is a wonderful tool when you know how to use it.

Contact us with no obligation and see what we can do for you, your family or your company.

Driver Psychology is the only way we are going to become safer on the roads. Give it a try and see what you think.
